These vases are made in Biswakarma, in Western Nepal. As a locally available material, Biswakarma artisans have worked with copper for generations. However, each of these vases also contains an element of recycled copper, for the sustainable management of the resource.

The Association of Craft Producers works with hundreds of mostly rural producers, bringing their authentic traditions to a modern market. One of Nepal's largest artisan organizations, the ACP acts as a central service hub, providing technical, logistical and marketing support so that rural producers can practice their craft at home. Savings and other mutual assistance programs bridge the gap between a craft skill and genuine financial self-sufficiency.
